Dear Customers,
One of my favorite things about this time of year is the chance it gives me to connect with you, our customers. In these challenging times, it is customers like you who enable EQ to remain one of the best environmental service companies in the industry. Because of your patronage and EQ’s continued reinvestment, we have achieved much as a company this year. For me, the highlights include:
- Safety – I’m proud to announce that EQ’s integrated quality, environmental, health & safety (QEHS) management system, the backbone of our organization, has lead to the lowest safety incident rate in the history of EQ. We have maintained current certifications at our facilities for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 while adding OHSAS 18001 to most operations.
- Service – Our Customer Experience Measurement program continues to measure how well we serve our customers. Thank you for completing our telephone surveys. Your feedback helps us to continue improving our company as we strive to be one of the best in our customer service and satisfaction.
- Solutions – We are listening to you – developing innovative environmental solutions to make your life easier and our services better. 2009 was full of new and inventive solutions; expansion of our retail program and our pharmaceutical waste services; new products in our universal waste Pack Back mailback program; technology advancement in remediation as well as the installation of a thermal desorption unit to manage waste for our refinery and terminal customers. Simultaneously, we continue to add functionality to our company through enhanced IT Systems, a new stabilization facility in Tampa, Florida and an aircraft deicing fluid recycling facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
In light of our successes, we continue to give back to the communities that have made our achievements possible. Through selected organizations, we support the needs of those who are less fortunate, along with the arts, schools and environmental organizations in our local communities.
