EQ hosted a record number of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collections during the weekends surrounding Earth Day. EQ Florida and Atlanta hosted 9 events, attracting over 5,500 residents. EQIS in Michigan hosted 5 events and, despite heavy rains, collected HHW from nearly 5,000 residents. The City of Livonia, Michigan hit a record for both the city and EQ with 2,500 residents participating.Even with the record number of participants and in some cases inclement weather, the HHW events were managed very well by the EQ staff with zero safety incidents.

- Hillsborough County – 500 residents
- City of Daytona Beach – 300 residents
- Pinellas County – 2,200 residents
- Miami-Dade County – 100 residents
- City of Tampa – 900 residents
- Escambia County – 500 residents
- Volusia County – 1,100 residents
Michigan:
- City of Taylor – 800 residents
- City of Livonia – 2,500 residents
- Bloomfield Township – 1,200 residents
- Washtenaw County – 1,250 residents
