EQ proudly sponsored the 5th Annual KDB Melanoma Walk, held on Sunday, October 10, 2010. People participated in the 5K or 1-mile walk which was held at Kensington Metro Park in Milford, MI.
This walk is especially important to the EQ family as it honors Kathy D. Bowers, a longtime employee at EQ. Kathy lost her valiant battle with melanoma in August, 2006. Many EQ Associates have participated in this event in her honor and memory. EQ has helped to raise over $80,000 in the four years that the event has been held. All proceeds are donated to the Melanoma Research Foundation (www.melanoma.org), which funds research focused on finding a cure for this disease. We hope that our efforts will raise awareness in the community and fund research to help find a cure for this devastating disease.
