Unfortunately, the presence of man has led to destructive changes, but we still have a chance to change everything for the better.

The best thing that is happening today is changes in societies for the better, and the desire to change. Today, we see changes in waste management, environmental management, etc.

When we talk about the environment, it should be understood that it is not only the weather, it is animals, birds, and all living creatures on this earth.

The most interesting facts and figures about the environment:

27,000 trees are destroyed every day to produce toilet paper.

Recycling one aluminum can could provide enough electricity to run a TV for at least 3 hours.

80 billion aluminum cans are used every day.

Paper can be recycled only six times. After that, the fibers are too weak to hold shape.

40% of all water in the world is sold in bottles.

A glass bottle made nowadays takes 4000 years to decompose.

The oldest tree in the world is more than 4600 years old.

Our planet is increasing by 77 million inhabitants annually.

35% of landfills consist of packaging materials.

Rainforests are shrinking by 100 acres every minute.

American companies alone use enough paper to wrap the earth three times. And it’s great that the business world is moving in a paperless direction in their work.

Only one percent of the water on our planet can be used for drinking, 97% is in the ocean and another 2% is frozen water in the Arctic today.

30% percent of cold air disappears from your refrigerator when you open it.

These are just some facts and figures to understand how society still needs to do a lot to move towards sustainable development on the planet.

For the experiment, plots in the Botanical Garden of the University of Bayreuth were provided with underfloor heating to cause additional frost changes. To the three natural changes in frost, the researchers added five artificial ones and then compared different areas.

Frequent changes between frost and dew, which are more likely to occur in winter due to climate change, can increase biomass production. This is the result of a new study by German researchers.

Researchers at the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research (UFZ), the University of Bayreuth, and the Helmholtz Center in Munich provided a surface for their experiment. In the University of Bayreuth Botanical Garden with underfloor heating, which led to five additional periods of dew in the winter. Ten percent more grass and other biomass grew later in the manipulated areas than in the control areas.

The increase in plant productivity can be explained by various factors, such as an increase in nitrogen reserves in the spring, the researchers write in the New Phytologist Journal.

Changing phases of frost and dew

Soils that are subject to freezing and thawing cycles as the seasons change now cover more than 55 million square kilometers. This is more than half of the total landmass of the northern hemisphere.

Forecasts such as The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report predict that global warming will be more likely to fluctuate around the freezing point in the future.

Changing the phases of frost and dew is considering one of the main factors in the release of nitrogen into the soil and, consequently, increases the activity of microbes.

Global warming and increased lack of insulating snow cover will exacerbate these changes.

However, apart from research from the north of Sweden, there are virtually no studies that study the significance of these plant change processes.

Due to global warming and the increasing lack of insulating snow cover, frost changes will intensify. However, there are hardly any studies that would investigate the significance of these plant metabolism processes.

Influence of extreme weather phenomena

Scientists from George Crailing of the University of Bayreuth have set up a test field on the outskirts of the city to study the effects of extreme weather events such as drought, heavy rainfall, and frost. The area lies in the transition zone between oceanic and continental climate. The average temperature here in January is -1 degrees Celsius.

One hundred plants of widespread grasses were planted on thirty out of four square meters of land. When the soil temperature dropping below zero for 48 hours, the soil was heating until the temperature rose above zero for 48 hours.

Artificial frosts

In addition to the three natural changes in frosts, the researchers added a total of five artificial ones and then compared different areas. The following summer, the plants were harvested twice, dried, and then weighed.

It turned out that the controlled areas produce ten percent more aboveground biomass than the control areas, where during the previous winter there were fewer changes between periods of frost and dew.

If you live in Tampa Bay, FL area you are a single call away from owning a putting green from your dreams. Turf Pro Synthetics can help you with all aspects of having synthetic turf such as its design to other technical facets of the golf course.
Vegetarianism can help save the planet from climate change, according to a UN report on tackling climate change. Scientists estimate that a change in diet is 20% of the total effort to combat global warming.

That is, if people around the world reduce meat consumption and reduce food waste, it can improve the environment.

Find out why foods have different effects on the environment, what their environmental friendliness depends on and how to make your diet more eco-friendly.

What determines the environmental friendliness of food?

The environmental friendliness of food production depends on the number of resources used to grow, transport it. Each factor in its own way affects how environmentally friendly we can consider the finished product.

Is there a link between the animal industry and climate change

Studies show that reducing the consumption of animal products can help reduce global warming. First of all, this is because the production of animal products, especially meat, uses a huge amount of resources on the planet and is responsible for at least 14.5% of all anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions.

For example, if you compare the number of resources needed to obtain a kilogram of animal and vegetable protein, the animal needs an average of 10 times more land, 6 times more water, and greenhouse gas emissions will be five times higher than to obtain vegetable protein. This was proved by a study by the University of Cambridge.

So, if we abandon animal products, it will be very, very helpful in resolving the climate crisis, and vice versa, if we do nothing about our eating habits, we will not be able to stop global warming.

Here are some more important facts:

The meat and dairy industries use 1/3 of all drinking water in the world.
Livestock is one of the main factors changing land use and deforestation. In total, each year, for various reasons, the land loses about 26 million hectares of forest per year (this is like the area of Great Britain).

More than 70% of arable land worldwide is used for growing feed for farm animals. It competes with the area of land used to grow food for humans.

The plant-based diet can reduce its carbon footprint (the total emissions of all greenhouse gases formed during production, transportation, and cooking) by 50% (compared to a diet dominated by animal products).

To feed one average person on a plant-based diet during the year requires about 675 m² of land, while for one person who consumes animal products – 18 times more land, ie about 12 150 m².

Is a plant-based diet always the best choice?

In general, veganism is a more environmentally friendly type of food than any other. This is well illustrated by the Oxford Study, the largest study on the impact of food production on climate change. However, reducing or refusing to consume exotic foods also plays an important role, so the best solution for the environment will be consuming local plant products.

If you are not ready to give up all animal products at once, you can still reduce your environmental footprint.

Here are some simple ideas:

Gradually reduce the number of products that have a high carbon footprint and replace them with local alternatives.

Do not forget about the seasonality of products and try to buy local seasonal vegetables and fruits. Fewer resources were spent on their cultivation – water, electricity, fuel, etc.

Try vegan alternatives to your favorite dishes, or something new for yourself, such as cooking seitan (so-called wheat “meat”, “fish” from tofu, oat milk, lentil cutlets, or linen pudding. The main thing is not to afraid to experiment.

First of all, we need to understand the problem and understand that each of us has the opportunity to help solve it.

About a third of all food in the world is thrown away. And while the responsibility for this lies not only with end consumers but also with food suppliers, retailers, and various food services – each of us can contribute to reducing food waste.

Why you should reduce the amount of food wasted?

The foods we buy, do not eat, and throw away are also wasted resources of soil, water, human labor, and so on. It is also an economic problem because food thrown away is money thrown away. When we make money, we don’t just give part of our work, we give part of our life. Foods are thrown in the trash = the time of our lives thrown away.

Why do we throw away food?

All food waste can be divided into:

What we bought, cleaned, and disposed of leftovers is the normal use of foods.

What we bought was not used in time and thrown away – non-ecological and uneconomical consumption.

We need to understand exactly where we lose food that becomes waste.

There are three categories:

1. Foods that spoil in supermarkets

This can happen due to the expiration date or an unattractive appearance. We as consumers are a little spoiled, we want carrots to be in each other, apples are beautiful, without a single speck. To solve this problem, supermarkets can encourage people to buy foods that seem unattractive. A great example is a campaign in which buyers were asked to buy lone bananas. Also, European supermarkets often offer discounts on foods that have an expiration date, but there is still enough time to consume it.

2. Extra foods that we bought but did not use for various reasons

Shopping planning will help solve this problem. Depending on whether you live alone, with a partner or family, you need to count how many foods you use in a week. To do this, pay attention to how quickly those or others that you do not have time to eat run out. All this is worth writing down and then take into account when making a shopping list for the week.

3. The food we cooked but didn’t eat

If it so happens that you have cooked more than you need at a time, these foods can then be used in another form, for example, fried chicken can be stewed with vegetables, added to salads or pizzas. This is often done in the culinary departments of supermarkets for reasons of economy.

But the most important thing is to be honest with yourself and analyze your lifestyle and diet. If you have lunch at work and like to order food delivery or eat in the evenings, you do not need to buy a lot of food on the weekends and cook for the week for the whole family for the sake of cooking.

A separate topic – children and foods. Parents think they know better what food their children need, and this often causes it to spoil and be thrown away.

Lifehacks

When the greens in the refrigerator start to spoil, you can cook vegetable broth from it. Add the carrot pieces that are usually cut, dill stalks, parsley, and stalks of any greens you might throw away. Then you can cook soup or porridge in this vegetable broth.

To reduce the number of foods thrown in the trash, you should analyze why you throw it away: you did not like the taste, expired or you bought too many foods of one category. This will help in the future to consciously approach the choice of foods in the store and save a significant part of the budget.

Yes and no. When comparing electric cars with petrol and diesel cars, they are indeed safer for the environment and human health, as they emit almost no greenhouse gases and other pollutants while driving.

But at the same time, we must remember that the electricity they use is most often obtained from non-renewable sources. Therefore, if the place where the electric car moves remain clean and more or less safe, the negative consequences of driving it is transferred to the place where electricity is produced. If we look at the situation on a national scale in terms of greenhouse gas emissions, the whole country emits greenhouse gases equally, but not because of burning gasoline or diesel, but because of electricity generation.

This factor is influenced by where we take electricity. If a person charges an electric car from charging with energy from renewable sources, for example, has solar panels in his house, then this option will be much better for the environment.

The more renewable energy (wind, solar) is producing the more environmentally friendly electric cars will become.

The second thing that is usually criticized for electric cars is the recycling of batteries. Also, during the production of electric vehicles, factories emit both greenhouse gases and harmful pollutants, sometimes even more than during the production of a car with an internal combustion engine.

The third factor: when the car is driving, it lifts smoke and sand from the ground, which then settles in the human body in the form of fine particles and can lead to premature death due to cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. Fine particles are mainly dust and smoke, and may also contain other harmful components. When a person breathes this often, not all particles leave the body, many of them settle in the blood vessels, and eventually, this leads to serious diseases. This is one of the reasons why people in cities die earlier than in rural areas.

This factor applies to both conventional cars and electric cars. Of course, the amount of emissions from burning diesel or gasoline is higher, but in this respect, electric cars are not entirely safe.

Social impact

Electric cars also have negative consequences from a social point of view:

like all cars, electric cars knock people down and negatively affect road safety. They are almost silent, and this is one of the reasons why they can be even a little more dangerous than other cars in this sense;

electric cars also need parking spaces in the city, increase congestion, overcrowding in the city, and take up space that could be used as a pedestrian or public transport.

Therefore, if a person really needs to use a car, the electric car will do less damage. But if there is no extreme need, it is better not to use it, and choose another mode of transport that will be more environmentally friendly.

What transport is safe for the environment

The best option for the environment and human health is to walk. If the distance is long, it is better to use a bicycle or gyro board, electric scooter, or other means of micro-mobility.

If a person cannot use such transport due to physical violations, it will be more environmentally friendly using public transport. It is better to prefer electric: tram, subway – than the one that creates emissions: minibus, bus.

If a person sometimes needs to transport some things or people, it is better to use car-sharing or a taxi. In this way, she uses a car that is already in the system, and one car per day can be used by 5 people, not one. This reduces both the number of cars and the load on the transport system.

Only if this option is not available or not suitable and you need to carry things or people who can not move on their own every day, then you can choose an electric car.

How a thermo-cup, an electronic ticket, and a flea market reduce deforestation.

Sort and recycle paper

To get a ton of paper pulp, which will make office paper, you need 4 tons of wood. Depending on natural and production conditions, this figure is equal to several felled trees. The production of recycled paper requires half as much raw material. That is, 1 ton of paper pulp requires only 2 tons of waste paper.

Avoid unnecessary printing

If you are already printing something, make sure that it is really necessary, and even better – that it will be used by several people, more than once. Electronic tickets instead of paper, printing on drafts, electronic versions of publications instead of paper – all this makes it possible to significantly reduce the use of paper.

In the world, more than half of paper products are made from recycled paper or cardboard. It can be packaging, toilet paper – it is easy to identify by the appropriate labeling on the package, and if it is not bleached – by the gray color.

Advertising flyers, which are distributed near the subway, live exactly 30 seconds: from the moment they are distributed, to the nearest landfill, where they will not be recycled.

However, this is not the only way to advertise your services or products. By giving up flyers, you encourage advertising customers to use environmentally friendly marketing tools. The same applies to other types of paper advertising products.

HOW: Print on both sides. Pay attention to the structure: a minimum of free space on the paper and slightly reduced margins of the document help to save a lot of paper. Reducing the margins by half can save more than 5% paper.

Discard paper – business cards, notes, or conferences can be downloaded to your phone or other digital media.

Use a thermo-cup instead of paper cups

Paper cups are mostly used only once. To prevent them from getting wet, they are covered with a special polystyrene film, so they can be processed only in special plants, and they are not in every country. In Britain, where such plants operate, seven million paper cups are used per day and 1% of them are recycled.

In some countries, due to food safety standards, a paper cup cannot contain more than 10% of processed raw materials, and therefore requires new wood raw materials for production.

It is estimated that the abandonment of paper cups by the staff of the office, which employs about 50 people, will save more than one tree a year.

HOW: Use reusable utensils at home and in the office.

Exchange things, not buy new ones

Old furniture, books that you no longer use, do not have to go to the dump. There are many ways to give such things a “second life”. The production of new things directly affects deforestation, and their reuse is an important contribution to reducing volumes. This principle works in the opposite direction – if possible, use used things, not buy new ones.

From the very beginning of its existence, people left behind a variety of garbage and waste. Gradually, he learned to organize them. The first landfills were created in ancient Crete. When people arrived, the garbage became more and more. Along with the industrial revolution, the amount of garbage and waste increased significantly. There are various ways to solve the problem of a growing mountain of garbage. At the end of the 19th century, the first waste disposal system was created in New York.

Currently, garbage is filling our planet, plastic bags, plastic bottles, beer bottles and cans and various liquids.

Actually, all that we do not need, we throw in the trash, including unused items and furniture. Plastic bags decompose in only a few hundred years. And due to the ingestion of plastic waste, about two million birds and marine mammals die each year. Researchers estimate that 75% of the world’s population in 2050 will have difficulty accessing fresh, healthy water if pollution continues at the current rate.

Garbage is toxic and poisons the seas, oceans, rivers, lakes, surface and subcutaneous waters. They poison the soil. Poisonous birds and other animals become victims of poisoning. We read about flocks of dreams many times.

The world produces an incredible amount of garbage and waste. Some of them, such as plastic, break very slowly and for a long time. Since the dumping of toxic waste on land is expensive and risky, many countries are trying to drown them in the seas and oceans. Radioactive waste from nuclear power plants, nuclear weapons factories and waste from hospital laboratories is particularly dangerous.

Americans annually produce more than 600 million tons of hazardous waste. Storage of this waste in itself costs about 80 billion dollars.

Americans produce about 300 million tons of garbage per year. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), every American loses 4.6 pounds per day. 65% is from residential buildings, and 35% from schools, hospitals and enterprises. 55% of this garbage goes to landfills, 33% is recycled and about 12% is incinerated. In San Francisco, 68% of garbage is recyclable. This is the best result among major cities. USA. New York spends almost $ 1 billion a year collecting and recycling trash. And what a city looks like that does nothing to scavenge, just remember Naples. Seeing Naples drowning in garbage is just “you can die.”

One method of disposing of garbage is incineration plants. Combustion energy can be used for heating or power generation. IncineratorsIncinerators facilitate disposal of debris, but pollute the air. From the point of view of environmental protection, it would be more desirable to recycle secondary raw materials (recycling). Recycling of recycled materials reduces the amount of waste, does not poison the environment and reduces the need for raw materials, and thus serves to maintain non-renewable raw materials. The problem is that industry is reluctant to use recycled materials in the production process.

There are so many sources of environmental pollution that it is very difficult to identify everyone. In many countries, a permanent system for monitoring and controlling the state of the threat to the environment was introduced in order to protect public health and launch emergency measures in a timely manner.

The developed industrial world is rapidly absorbing the raw material resources of the entire globe. Only a fifth of the inhabitants of our planet live in rich industrialized countries. However, they consume up to 80% of the earth’s raw materials. Often, different countries rich in poor countries pay them for this service. Thus, “ecological bombs” are created.

We do not have accurate data on how much waste our world produces. We read about poisoned waters in rivers, lakes and seas. Various harmful substances, such as freon, are released into the air. We litter the environment with hard and long-lasting plastic. Pollution of the earth, water and air harms not only people, but also fauna and flora.

The tongue of the dance, which is passed on to pollen, slowly dies.

Of the approximately 500 still existing bee species, about a dozen use the “language of dance”. Through a series of ritual movements lasting from several seconds to several minutes, hive neighbors receive coded information about the location of the food source, its quantity, distance to it, and the like. It is believed that this mechanism has an extremely long history and the “dance of the bees” has evolved over 20 million years. However, in our time, he seems to be dying.

In an article published in the journal Science Advances, German and Swiss biologists reported on the results of field observations of Apis mellifera honey bees. The authors expected that the colonies, more active dance practitioners, should collect resources more efficiently and produce more honey. However, during the observation process, it was found that the duration of the dance is shortened in some colonies. And with this reduction, they produce more and more honey.

Apparently, in such colonies the “traditional dance” is gradually being replaced by a less poetic, but more practical strategy under modern conditions. Insects cease to coordinate their searches, and each working individual collects independently of the others. Scientists suggest that the reason for this – a person, more precisely, how unpredictable, quickly and constantly he changes the landscape. The forest may disappear in a day, and one monotonous type of plants on the fields for the next season may completely change to others – perhaps a less calculating approach to collecting nectar in these conditions justifies itself.

To test this hypothesis, scientists conducted experiments with eight colonies of bees, each of which consisted of 15-25 thousand workers. Some, the control, colonies lived a normal life and, as is their characteristic, danced. To other authors, they artificially violated the possibility of using dances to exchange information. Their nests were kept in the dark and turned from time to time, which did not allow to orient according to the figures of the dance.

Under these conditions, the researchers observed the process of the “death of the dance” in the bee colony. Time after time making sure that the dances stopped bringing significant information, the insects showed less interest to them and spent less and less time watching the dancing individuals. They proceeded to an independent collection of resources: the colony adapted its behavior and began to act with high efficiency.

Increasingly, on the shelves of shops, we see food and everyday objects with special labels. The products are referred to as eco, bio or organic. What characterizes? Are they definitely different in meaning? We will discuss this in this post.

DO THESE CONCEPTS DIFFERENT?
Opinions are divided. Often the terms eco, bio or organic are used interchangeably. Some say that these words differ only in sound, so they are synonyms defining the same thing.

Even if one accepts this point of view, it should be noted that even word replacements rarely mean the same. They usually put emphasis on something else. Similarly in this case. And even without a thorough linguistic analysis, we come to the conclusion that the terms are related, but each is responsible for slightly different matters.

ORGANIC PRODUCTS
In this perspective, what are the organic products?

According to the lexical description “organic” is belonging to the animal or vegetable world, therefore connected or originating from the organic world. In addition, strict regulations stipulate that a product wishing to be considered organic must contain at least 95% of natural ingredients in its mass.

In the organic production process, it is important to maintain certain standards. The condition of the soil can not suffer. One should strive to remain fertile and, moreover, to make sure that its values continue to increase. Of course, using only natural methods.

The earth can not be exploited. In the long term, it brings poor results. The use of crop rotation, that is, the crop system based on the subsequent occurrence of plants in specific fields turns out to be helpful here. It is a long-term, well-cultivated farming. In addition, it has a preventive application. In this way, plant diseases are prevented.

Organic products do not contribute to the sowing of fields. Their potential is sustained. Many areas, once rich in crops, are currently unfit for use, have been degraded by harmful substances. What is important, along with the earth, the entire assigned ecosystem is lost. A monoculture is being created that replaces lush biodiversity. In order to prevent this, you should also take care of the cleanliness of the groundwater. These, if contaminated, significantly reduce the productivity of the fields.

ECO PRODUCTS
And here we go back to the sources. So what does the “eco” prefix mean? Currently, it is added to very different terms, sometimes the connection is not very reasonable or even ridiculous. However, we will not write about it.

According to etymology, the “eco” prefix is associated with the natural environment. For example, “ecology” specifies science about nature.

So what should eco products be like?

They must arise from the best environmental practices. So they can not disrupt or even destroy any ecosystem. What’s more, they should even support endangered natural systems. In addition, the eco product in accordance with the assumptions consists as much as possible of the natural resources of the earth.

Here it is important to keep the populations of animals and plants present in the crop intact. In the case of threats – according to accepted standards, full protection must be provided to them. Each species plays an important role in maintaining the balance of a given ecosystem; if one runs out, then the state of harmony can be disturbed. You can not approach the issue selectively, or vice versa – as a whole.

Ecological awareness of countrymen is growing year by year. This is confirmed by the fact that the demand for detergents, sometimes referred to as eco-chemistry, is growing. Importantly, their composition contains a minimal amount of harmful substances, so that they do not pollute the soil, air and water. It is also used by people with more sensitive skin – organic chemistry is certainly not as sensitizing as standard detergents.

Environmentally friendly cleaning products are marked with special certificates. Ecolabel is used in the European Union. In order for the product to receive this distinction, all stages of its creation must comply with strict ecological requirements.

There are many ecological signs. It is worth knowing what the most important and the most popular of them convey to us. When buying such a labeled product, we are also in favor of sustainable development.

Among the characters you can find, among others informing us that the packaging is biodegradable. Thus – it decomposes during the composting process and does not emit harmful substances.

Another, equally important and quite widespread, communicates to us that the packaging is recyclable, in other words – recycling. The sign is identified by three arrows pointing to each other, forming a triangle.

Wooden houses are an ideal solution for all Investors who want to save at the construction stage as well as later use. Long-lasting, resistant, easy to build and tight – these are their most important features. In addition, they can be freely arranged and adapted to any landscape. Check why it is still worth to bet on wooden houses.

Investors are more inclined to this technology, and the impact on the return of old building methods has many factors. This is due to undeniable visual qualities of wooden buildings or easy and quick execution of such an investment, and thus – savings associated with shorter working time of professionals. The significant increase in ecological awareness also has a significant impact on the decisions regarding the implementation of log houses, amphibians and skeletal structures. More and more people are realizing that the activities carried out now directly affect our future functioning and living conditions of future generations.

Environment-friendly construction process

The benefits for nature related to the construction of wooden house designs are already at the material production stage. Wood is a natural raw material and fully renewable, so its processing, necessary for the possibility of use in construction, does not leave any negative ecological footprint. In fact, it is the only product for erecting the walls of an object that is not subject to man-made processes such as ceramic hollow blocks or cellular concrete blocks. Due to the nature of the process of harvesting timber, it avoids excessive water consumption and the burning of very large amounts of energy and thus emitting significant amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. An important aspect is also the fact that other products used in the implementation of a wooden house are also made of natural renewable resources. Mineral wool is used to insulate the solid, and the interior is covered with wooden OSB panels. Moreover, with this type of investment, heavy equipment such as a concrete mixer is not used, and the transport of materials is easy and fast, which reduces the emission of harmful waste. It can be said that the process of building a wooden house is ecological at every stage.

Ecological exploitation of a wooden house

Other beneficial influences of wooden houses on the environment are related to the subsequent use. Wood is a material characterized by the ability to “breathe”, thanks to which it ensures proper air circulation – it is always clean and fresh. This raw material also has excellent parameters in terms of thermal insulation and usually they are much better compared to brick houses. Wooden buildings are already heating within a few hours and they maintain the optimum temperature for a long time. The above factors make the winter comfortable in them in the winter, while in the summer there is a pleasant chill inside. Thus, we use less energy needed to heat it, as well as electricity associated with the need to ventilate and air-condition the home, and this clearly translates into environmental benefits.

A favorable micro climate favorable for health

It is worth mentioning that all ecological solutions are directly related to our health and well-being. Wood used for the implementation of residential objects is characterized by humidity up to 20%. The high hygroscopicity of the wood and the essential oils contained in it guarantee the creation of a beneficial and friendly micro climate in the home. In addition, the above features are responsible for health properties, because they have a positive effect on the respiratory system. Due to their naturalness, wooden houses are ideal for people prone to allergies and susceptible to various types of infections. When planning a construction, it is worth considering the choice of a wooden house design – its implementation is uncomplicated and environmentally friendly, which should now have a meaning for each of us. Such objects additionally blend in well with the surroundings, and the beneficial micro climate of the interior ensures comfortable living.
